EDIT: Well, I guess that I should explain something. I keep getting messages concerning the fact that Rodia wasn't a wicked maniac and this portrait isn't accurate. I'm aware of the fact that Raskolnikov was a really nervous and martyred by his crime man. The truth is that when I was starting to draw this, I didn't think about Rodia at all. Then, as I noticed that he is coming out rather handsomely, considering the fact that I really love this character, I decided to finish it like this and submit under his name. Anyway, I think that this person, even if completely fictional, deserves at at least one kind of 'representative' portrait, without scared look and gaping eyes ; ) Maybe he's thinking about his theory, who knows.

I've just come back from holiday, I'll reply to your messages later. Now I'm working at the second sketch done at grandma's ; )
That expression is exactly the same as I imagined his face when he used to think about his theories and plans, principally in the beginning of the book (I must agree that after he kills that woman [forgot her name], he starts to be just like a scared and nervous young man).
Congrats ^^

And the Phoenix followed the White Dragon to the stars.
And I kept looking at them until they vanished from my sight.
I gotta say, when he smiles in the book, I imagined him looking more like a wicked manic man rather than extremely nervous. The guy's sporadic, he may have moments when he looks like this. Very cool picture.
This is beautiful!!! I love the way you've represented Raskolnikov. I'm reading Crime and Punishment and building a website about it for my CP World Lit. Class. I was wondering if I may post this on there. I'd cite you, and send you the webpage link and everything, I promise! If you prefer that I don't, then that's alright too Just let me know if it's okay or not

There is not a thin line between love and hate. There is-- in fact-- a Great Wall of China with armed sentries posted every 20 feet between love and hate.
